Chabad of Cyprus Celebrates 20th Anniversary and Welcomes Rosh Hashannah with Spectacular Event

Chabad of Cyprus is elated to announce the grand celebration of its 20th anniversary, a remarkable milestone that signifies two decades of unwavering dedication to service and spiritual outreach. Nestled on the picturesque Mediterranean island of Cyprus, Chabad of Cyprus has grown to become a shining beacon of blessings and inspiration, touching the lives of both local residents and visitors from around the world.

At the core of this momentous occasion lies the enduring legacy and teachings of the revered Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the spiritual leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. The Rebbe’s visionary mission to spread love, kindness, and Jewish teachings to every corner of the globe has been the driving force behind Chabad’s remarkable success in Cyprus. His profound blessings and invaluable guidance have undeniably shaped the organization’s growth and its profound impact over the past two decades.

To commemorate this significant milestone and usher in the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashannah, Chabad of Cyprus hosted a grand celebration featuring a captivating performance by David D’or, maestro Gil Shohat, and the Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra. The event took place on September 5th at 19:30 at the Municipal Theater, Leonida Kioupi, Larnaca, Cyprus, and was a moving and impressive spectacle that left attendees in awe.

The event was graced by the presence of numerous dignitaries, Ambassadors, and emissaries from around the world, including esteemed local Heads of State, Members of Parliament, and Mayors. The distinguished lineup of speakers included:

Chief Rabbi of Cyprus, Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin, who offered his blessings and heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for celebrating this significant milestone for Chabad.

Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works, Alexis Vafeades, who delivered an address on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus, acknowledging the importance of Chabad’s contributions to the local community.

Israeli Ambassador Mr. Oren Anolik, who spoke of the cooperative relationship between Cyprus and Israel and congratulated Chabad on its 20th anniversary, applauding its open doors for all and its support for the Jewish community in Cyprus.

Mr. Yaron Zeloof, the chairman of the JCC friends association, who thanked The Chief Rabbi for his life changing efforts in supporting Jewish life in Cyprus. Mr Zeloof also thanked the many supporters who helped make this event a reality.

Chabad of Cyprus is immensely grateful for the support and participation of these esteemed guests and the broader community, without which this celebration would not have been possible.

As Chabad of Cyprus looks ahead to the future, it remains committed to its mission of spreading love, kindness, and Jewish teachings to continue being a source of inspiration and blessing for all. This 20th anniversary celebration serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Rebbe and the incredible impact Chabad of Cyprus has had on the lives of countless individuals.
